I have an obsession with taking pictures from planes. All my personal items are properly stowed away during take off and landing--except my camera. I don't know why I am so fascinated with aerial views, but I just think it so cool! I have countless photos of mountain ranges, rivers, canyons, and cities taken from planes. Whenever I am on a plane without one of those cool screens that show you where above the earth you are, I like to guess where I am. It's my favorite plane game. However, when I flew over Europe I was very happy to have one of those cool screens so I could know exactly what countries I was photographing from the sky. I made sure I got a picture of each country and here is what I come up with:
This is Germany.
This is Belgium which looks just like Germany.
This is Holland (Amsterdam) which looks just like Belgium which looks just like Germany.
This is England which looks just like Holland which looks just like Belgium which looks just like Germany.
This is Scotland which looks just like England which looks just like Holland which looks just like Belgium which looks just Germany.
This is Ireland which looks just like Scotland which looks just like England which looks just like Holland which looks just Belgium which looks just like Germany.
Then I fell fast asleep as we traveled for quite some time over the North Atlantic Ocean and then we came upon Quebec, Canada. It did not look like Ireland or Scotland or England or Holland or Belgium or Germany.
I think it was the snow that set it apart.
<--Oh yeah, this is Quebec.
Then it was cloudy all the way back over the US to Atlanta. So I went to sleep again.
How about the weather we've been having?

I love pics taken from planes...these r great!
I once went on holidays to Papua New Guinea (actually 3 times)...if u see it from above, it's so different to Aus or Germany or Belgium. It's all green and smoke here n there - from villages...so fresh!
Keshi.
Flying west across the US can be quite boring out that window though.... just giant patches of field as you fly over Kansas and all the other flat states. I guess it all looks the same when you're a mile high in the sky.
I think I saw my old flat in that picture of England.
Me thinks ya might have gotten the order of them pics messed up.
Hey kiddo. Hope thangs be doin ok by you.
I read the comment ya left for Matt and me jus wanted to say that me done likked it. You be sweet!

What fun...I'm envious, I love flying.
I love you but I'm not sure I appreciate you spying on me with your spy satellites.
Nice shots. I took some of my own on a recent business trip and will post them.
What is this? I thought you hated to fly. Is your blog just a fake! I think you are not even a girl, isn't your real name Jason! Maybe you should just come out?
I'm with you J - I love ariel photos! I just flew over Greenland, and wow, the ice was fabulous! I saw lots of mountains, iceburgs, frozen lakes over Canada, and even little ice holes/houses in the middle of the lakes for fishing I was told. Fabulous pictures!
